Re: thousands of roms...
Honestly it's hard to find an updated ROM for our Evo's these days, I roam around and try to find threads to ROMs that are updated but always find something I don't like about it / something that's not working that I just don't want to do without or want to fix, so the ROM I use has not been updated in a while and won't be, but it works for me and has everything I need / want, unfortunately it's not on this site, it's from XDA but I love this site and learned what I know from here so I hang out here daily to see if anything new pops up or if I can help someone out.
If I was you I would roam the active threads and see what appeals to you and try it out on this site and XDA.

Re: thousands of roms...
theres still alot of users and development on xda for the evo4g. i still say it's one of the best phones sprint carried and it's still a good entry level device IMO. yes most devs have moved on but that doesn't mean it's still not a good device. hard to believe in june it will be 2 years old.

Re: thousands of roms...
I don't know if I would say a lot, but there is still some development going on over their, I agree that the Evo is a great phone that's why I haven't upgraded, all the HTC phones I have bought have been good phones so that's why I will try to stick with them, plus nothings really been worth the upgrade to me so I'll just wait it out as I'm not in a hurry.

Re: thousands of roms...
i know what u mean kiowa, the only good phone waiting for is the htc one x.
sooo drooling over that phone. quad core everything actually equal or better than the evo 32 gig internal memory with its own cloud. only bad things are: it doesn't have an sd card only for att att release is down graded to dual core. today my phone froze on the boot screen. got scared since i still had til may to upgrade. I really want to wait for the one x to come to sprint but i guess if i don't see anything on phonearena.com for it. the next best is the samsung galaxy. I also wouldn't mind the note... loving the 5" screen. but thats also att. why do they have all the cool phones? I swear sometimes i think sprint just wants to lose more and more customers. less phones coming out, got rid of the premier package, they are even charging $45 for early upgrade now. even though i've been a customer for 11 years and I missed the premier deadline by 18 days. I swear... if i didn't use up so much data, I would have already switched to att. |
