I have Verizon internet and Verizon.net email addy's. I am trying to set up push email so mail comes instantly like gmail does. Verizon tech support says it will work, but they don't know what the settings should be and for me to call HTC for the correct settings. The stock mail client in the Evo won't allow push so I tried maildroid from the market. It works with push as I tested it with my domain using IMAP. Verizon uses POP3.
Any ideas on the correct settings for Verizon?

Yep tried that. Incoming.Verizon.net and outgoing.Verizon.net. in port 110 out port 25 or 587. All works except push. Mail comes in when checked manually or when program itself checks every 30 mins.

From what I understand POP3 can't be used to get push email. Only IMAP. So I guess that's the way it will be.

Maybe there is some sort of way to make Verizon.net an IMAP account instead of POP3.
The search goes on..... Lol
