Re: Help! Reboot Loop, S-On PCIMG36 Not Working, what next.

Update: I thought I got it fixed. I downloaded a 4.54 rom from scottsrom.com and put it on a SD card and renamed it PC36IMG. It actually loaded it up this time, then said Parsing... [SD ZIP] and had [1] RADIO_V2
[2] RECOVERY, all the way to [8] SYSTEM. This never happenend before. So I got all happy and it updated all 8. But when it rebooted, it still did the reloop over and over. I got so happy that I finally got it fixed but it didnt do anything. What could it be? If anyone is in Queens, NYC and can fix this for me, I would be willing to pay.

Re: Help! Reboot Loop, S-On PCIMG36 Not Working, what next.

So the reboot loop has 2 causes. as told to me ny the sprint tech

1) cpu overheats and the phone reboots to save from any more damage say exploding battery did you notice your battery really hot when it happened

2) bad line of code that it gets stuck in. Think a endless for/next loop

if either of those two you are SOL and we need a trip to the sprint store. If you are lucky , like I was, you get another device. Woot!!

if not well I hope you paid for the insurance

I think the problem was a bad line of code. Since it was S-on, I was out of luck, its now a paperweight. I ended up getting another one used from ebay for my sis. Thanks for all the help

Re: Help! Reboot Loop, S-On PCIMG36 Not Working, what next.

I still find it hard to believe that the phone is bricked, it takes a lot of work to actually brick a phone and changing ROM's and pulling the battery I doubt is ever going to do that. I say you put it up for sale and explain the situation and I bet someone would take it off your hands and that would help offset the expense of the phone that you bought, and even if by chance something is wrong it's still good for parts unless it's just ragged out.
