Can we get the UI changes from 2.3.3 from EVO Shift on the EVO?

My wife and I have an EVO, and an EVO Shift. Mine is the Shift.
Last night did the OTA update from Sprint which put both phones on Gingerbread 2.3.3.

Mine has a ton of new visual elements, new HTC widgets, visual changes to sms and email, the bars are skinable, etc, etc...

My wife would like to get these features on her phone as well. Is there any way to get these changes to the EVO?

Is it just HTC Sense that's different? The EVO Shift shows me that I'm on HTC Sense 2.1, but can't find the version info on the EVO.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Been a WinMo user till about 4 months ago, swore I'd never go to Android. Glad I did, but have a lot to learn! Custom ROMs seem a bit trickier than they were on my old WinMo devices... or maybe it's just because it's all new to me still.

Hey sorry to tell you this but the Evo doesnt not have sense 2.1 it still has the original senseUI so in other words the only way to get those visuals on the Evo is to flash a custom rom that has sense 2.1 but if you do this the evo will no longer have 4G and other option to check out is a custom rom with sense 3.0 (from the E3D) but honestly those are the only ways youll get those goodies

Both are based of the evo shift ota and have sense 2.1 with sense 3 elements and 4g fully working. Great roms to get your wife the shift experience on the evo, plus sense 3 elements (lockscreen). Good luck.

Also, if you need assistance with rooting, there are plenty of good threads and resources available. Initially it's a a lot to take in, but you'll get the hang of it.

Bro you're information is not all correct, all the GB roms have working 4G, especially since the OTA dropped. You are right about the version of sense, but running a custom rom will get you sense 2.1 with hints of 3.0 throughout the rom, and all the roms are running really great and are stable especially since the OTA came out, the thing that sucks the most about them is battery life, it's not horrible, but not great like it was with custom kernels, so really all we are waiting for now is the source for the kernel to come out so those devs can tweak them and we can get better battery life.
