Stop the Flip Clock

My buddy has an EVO 4G and does not like when he turns the phone on or goes to the home screen, the clock always flips from an hour and 2 minutes off...to the current time.

I know this is a feature of the flip clock, but is there a way to disable the 1 hour / 2 minute flip feature? The flip is cool, just doesn't care for the 1 hour/2 minute deal.

Oh, and it's a stock EVO 4g (not rooted and he will not root it).

Not unless he wants to remove the htc widget and install a different one.

What it's doing is that the time stops on the flip clock when you turn the screen off. When you turn it back on, it flips from the time you turn the screen off to the current time. My old htc touch pro did this also. I personally like it but everyone has different tastes.
