who is not getting EVO3D?

I'm a total phone whore - I jump ship for the latest and greatest.

That being said, I'm not planning on getting the 3D. Unless user reviews after a month or so is outstanding, I'm skipping it.

I can imagine the bloat of a sense based 3D interface killing the dual core advantage (and battery life too)

I think this phone might be the "Windows Millennium" of this current phone generation.

Give me a dual core pure google Nexus S experience.. that would rock!

I just called Sprint regarding the SlickDeals.com suggestion.

If you are in between 12 - 24 months they will reset you to 24 months and you get $150.00 off the phone.

They will also have trade-in's on EVO 4G of $150.00.

So it will cost like $50.00 to upgrade if you are at least 1 yr into a contract.

And it will cost less if you sell the phone on craigslist for like $200.00

I'll get mine as soon as it's rooted.

I will wait few weeks before I jumped onto this as it will take some time to root this phone.I have my hopes on OMJ,Deck and Cynogen mod to make this phone a awesome experience.Our else I will get a photon or GS II.I have preorder the 3D but can always find a use for the $50 gift card.

I personally am going to wait on on Quad Core phones this fall...my reasoning is right now there aren't many apps that can take advantage of multiple cores and ice cream sandwidch isn't out yet with the multi-core optimization..by the time all that is out and I can take advantage of the hardware better I'll have a quad core phone!!

Then I will um..play some text games on it..yup..definitely :P lol

so a quad core phone is expected this fall? i've been so busy eyeballing the evo3d that i had not heard this. where can i find more info on this. thanks

I am going to upgrade, because, well, I just like the newset stuff...lol. I can think of plenty of apps that will run faster with the new processor...that does it for me...the 3-d thing, well, nice, maybe (jurys out)...but not my reason for upgrading anyway...the processor is!

EVO4 G rocks...and someone on craiglist will also think so! I sold my TP2 for the same cost as my EVO...and I plan to to the same for 3d

im upgrading just cause.. plain and simple.. this switch isnt like the one I made from my tp2 to my evo o.g which was absolutely necessary.. that phone was driving me nuts no matter what rom I ran. I know the evo 3d will be hardware wise relevant and a standing contender for at least a year. seeing as dual-core phones Have just started being released I seriously doubt any of these companies including nvidia wouldn't want to ride this wave out for awhile so quad-core will be introduced but I doubt they will be available in phones/tablets before 2012. dont see a point in releasing something just to out shine it in less than a year because people would just hold out until.. dampering sales

Don't underestimate nvidia..they did not become a duopoly in GPUs by chance...they are not going to wait and ride the sales because that would not help them break marketshare...right now their goal is marketshare..

you follow a simple rule, lower price of Tegra 2, release Tegra 3..

also keep in mind that Tegra 2 devices have been out since nov 2010..so nov-dec 2011 is the perfect time for a refresh..atm the Tegra 2 is weaker then its Snapdragon, OMAP and Exynos counterparts, hence a refresh makes sense...

I'm probably going to upgrade just to sell the thing on craigslist. This is the first time that I've ever been happy with keeping a phone and since overpaying for a 3D TV I really don't see the need for another gimimic.
