rooted EVO, but cant flash most roms =(

so i went to install the newest infected rom with sense 3.0 and was very excited about it. repartitioned my card with RA, wiped, and installed and got boot loops upon sense startup. tried a dozen combinations of superwiping, cache/dalvik wipe, double flashing, fix uid, etc but no luck.

i then decided to try the BOS kingdom rom and get the same problem, boot loops as soon as sense loads. maybe i wasnt destined to install sense 3.0 roms.

ok, so i decide to try KingsROM shift4g blakk rom. its a sense 2.x rom so it should be ok, right? nope! boot loops as soon as sense loads up.

at this point, i suspect its my sd card. i use a 1gb without any repartitioning and try KingsROM again. still same problem. the only roms i can actually get flashed are the latest Fresh and Warm 2.2.

i think the problem may be my phone and not the sd card or rom.

details:
003 with nova panel, S-OFF with unrevoked forever
HBOOT 2.10.0001
RADIO 2.15.00.11.19

i have tried RA 2.3 and CW 2.5.0.7 (the newer version doesnt support some sort of scripting so i use an older version). i also superwipe 2-3x before EVERY flash and sometimes wipe cache/dalvik AFTER a flash.

does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do or try? any input is appreciated and i thank you all in advance.

EDIT: someone suggested a different kernel like netarchy. i tried 2 non SBC kernels with same problem.

I had the problem I wasn't able flash most sense rom. When it would give me a incomplete message in recovery. I would wipe data and it would boot up fine. Aosp rom flash with no problems.

AOSP roms are nice, but i really like the sense integration so i would prefer to go that route instead of downloading a bunch of other apps to do the same thing.

my last experience with AOSP was the Destroyer rom and it did just that. it corrupted something so i couldnt get into recovery no matter how hard i tried and ended up getting a replacement from sprint.

Are you flashing a kernel after flashing the rom? Someone else had the same problem and was flashing an aosp kernel instead of a sense kernel.

i am not flashing any kernels at all except i tried netarchy as an alternative to see if the problem was kernel related.

i tried flashing Virus's gingerbread rom based off the leaked EVO rom, but it failed where Fresh rom should be based off the same rom and works. strange!

Re: rooted EVO, but cant flash most roms =(

is it possible your rooting process was corrupted? I read that you have to have htc sync uninstalled when you use the unrevoked method. I remember reading somewhere that it could affect the flashing of different roms. Do you recall if you uninstalled htc sync? Just curious because I suggested to someone else having the same problem as you that maybe he should unroot, then reroot his phone. He was having an issue flashing stable roms that no one else was having a problem with so logically I figured it was his phone.

I guess if you've tried everything else it couldn't hurt to try.
