Re: Anyone on Cyanogen's RC2?
You should post that over at XDA on his dev thread. You have a better chance of getting a nibble there.

As the second post stated, you'll
have better information on the XDA Evo CM forums. In reading, not sure what Savage kernel you're running, but the latest is 1.3. And in what I've read Qik isn't working, even a supposed gingerbread beta. I'm not certain about Tango. But remember, not many phones are running gingerbread...so devs of apps are playing catch-up. Head over to XDA's forums and search the CM thread, you'll probably find your answers. Plus you'll find the Savage kernel thread as well. I like tacos.... |

Re: Anyone on Cyanogen's RC2?
Thanks for the responses. Upon further tests I have determined that the front camera is not working in CM7 that is why I am having issues with these softwares. I was running an earlier version of Savage-Zen's kernel but I upgraded to his latest version today. So far the battery life is really good. This is with 3 email accounts, rss, weather, facebook, twitter syncing, web browsing and playing music. Really good battery! What's the sense having a smartphone only to disable all it's features right?

I mentioned in my previous response that the developers of the apps (Qik, etc.) haven't released working software for Gingerbread, which is what CM is based. Probably because, with the exception of very few phones, Gingerbread isn't "prime time" yet. In a very quick Google I see some reporting Fring working but the others are not yet. So, in this case it's not the rom having issues, it's waiting for the apps to catch up. ....... |

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! You are right lol!, Fring does work! I came to the conclusion that the front camera must not be working after trying the Mirror App as well the others I mentioned, and to find them all crashing. This really makes me wonder what are all the differences with Gingerbread and Froyo. I have noticed that the screen slightly glows when you scroll to the bottom of a setting in Gingerbread, but I am not sure whether it is CM or the OS. |

Re: Anyone on Cyanogen's RC2?
wow! I've just noticed something, but I'm not sure if it's Gingerbread or something I never paid attention to. After dragging down the notification bar, I can press and hold a notification and swipe it off the list!
