*Help* Do I need to un root to take in for service?

i think some dust got into to my ear piece on my evo and now my phone calls are all muffled. They can hear me, but they sound like crap on the other end. I need them to check my speaker to see if it needs to be replaced. Will they turn me away once they see I'm rooted or is this a separate hardware issue? If so, is there an easy way to un root so I can take it in without issue?

I'm running OMJ's 4.5 rom. Thanks for your help guys!

They will only turn you away for being rooted if the problem is a software issue

It's gotta be right? How can I test to make sure? It just started one day. I haven't flashed anything for about a two weeks.

That only depends on the Sprint Store, the one near my home will find ANY reason to deny you, whether it is related to the problem or not.

Just try to take in an HTC mogul with a scratch on the battery door, complain that its hard to hear the person you are area talking to. (in my case, it sounded clear, but as if the volume was all the way down.)

According to them, the scratch on the battery door voided my factory warranty AND the TEP...

I recommend that you unroot regardless of the source of the problem, it can save headaches and heartaches that Sprint loves to inflict upon us for no good reason at all, aside from maintaining their bottom line.

tell them to show where in the TOS that rooting invalidates your warranty

warranty work comes outta the store profit margin
thats why theyll lie to you saying dumb stuff voids warranty
or they cant fix it and youll have to you TEP
