Are you kidding me?? I've been wanting this feature but didn't wanna sacrifice not using SBC v7 kernel. Now I got best of both worlds. Thank you for posting this.

So this is the cable I bought from Frys.com made by Inland and it is a very well built cable. I used it with the stock HDMI kernel and worked great. I tried saving a few bucks before and bought one online and that cable is crap.
