Re: Any1 else tired of their HTC EVO?

I heard it said that fine marraige was like fine dining. No matter what you ordered, you always want to taste what the other guy has.

Maybe we are suffering from that.

Not really.. I just move pretty quick when it comes to technology and phones. I rarely ever keep a phone longer than a year, if that. Over the past 2 years i've had an iphone 3gs, a 3g, a hero, a tp2, an n97, the evo and now ready to move on to something else.

Re: Any1 else tired of their HTC EVO?

Frankly I am tired of it. It's normal I get burnt out on any device after 6 months or so.

The problem is even after almost a year there is nothing better out!

Nothing that justifies an upgrade, there are phones like the Atrix which are marginally better but not worth the upgrade hassle.

I used to buy phones every three months but. I realize that I bought phones so often because I was unhappy with the phones I had. Since buying the evo I have gotten rid of all my other phones as I am completely happy with this one. I don't need to buy phones just for the sake of buying phones...

Re: Any1 else tired of their HTC EVO?

when i get tired of my evo i flash a new ROM with new theme and different launcher ... then its like having a new phone ...

i hear ya about the design of the phone ... looking for something different hardware wise ... i love more of the curve look on the google nexus ... i know it has a smaller screen but i dont watch moves or play games that often to really warrant the huge screen on the EVO ... and i am sure with a smaller screen there would be better battery life

Re: Any1 else tired of their HTC EVO?

The Evo maybe running a QSD chip which is the lowest end 1ghz processor there is, but honestly with all the mods, hacks, tweaks, and ROMs available, other than the HD2 I think the Evo could be the most versatile and awesome phone you can get, and there is no phone that really has MUCH better specs anyways, sure the newer MSM and hummingbird chips are better, but not really by anything noticeable. Think about the options with this phone, CM7, Sense over GB, DHD ports, I mean this phone can do it all. Meanwhile Sense on galaxy S is still fubar, CM7 is on alpha basically and the SGS CM team is having to change so much damn code just to get it to fly.

The Atrix might be the only actually significantly better phone hardware-wise, but GSM is out for you CDMA guys anyways, and who wants that motocrapola anyways, I don't see much development for that phone.

When an HTC dual-core ice-cream phone comes out, then I would start moving onto a new phone, but there really isn't a better choice on sprint IMO

But what about people who can't / don't want to root?
