My sister has the epic. It smokes the evo. The evo is nothing special. Honestly my tp2 running android is just as good as that,c maybe not as fast but still more than 10 dollars a month cheaper and has 2 os's on it . But the epic is def. Better than the eevo IMO. Evo feels chintzy and cheap I donno maybe its just me but it looks and feels like a kids phone.

You don't have to be three to have ADD. It's your money, you have every right to buy any and every new device that comes out, but this behavior (IMO) is evidence of a deficient attention span.

Yeah - What he said!

I think a lot of us are feeling like we are parked in the driveway after flying down the freeway for six months. I bought my EVO June 4th and it seemed that something new was happening every couple weeks. Upgrades were coming out, stock Roms were getting hacked, battery life was getting extended... everyday was Christmas Eve. But since 3.70, the dust has settled.

I guess, until Gingerbread gets released, we will be wondering around flatland.

I totally agree lkillen. Great analogy. It seems like the EVO community was chugging fast and furious, new exciting stuff all the time. Lately, well, it's got a little boring. This is a device and a hobby for me. The hobby part seems a little stagnant. The device part is pretty good.

Yeah, i had the TP2 before my Evo as Im guessing a lot of us did. The Evo is way ahead of the TP2. While I loved (and still do) my TP2, and OG TP, the Evo just feels like a natural progression in devices for me. Even the keyboard became useless to me. I feel that once you reach a large enough screen, a physical keyboard is no longer needed. The TP2 hit that size for me. Not ragging on ya or anything but IMO the TP2 doesnt do it for me anymore as a daily driver. Though, I have been thinking about getting another one for my travels outside of the country. And to stay on topic....No, im not getting tired of my Evo. But that being said, if the Evo 2 is announced I will definitely hop on it.

Re: Any1 else tired of their HTC EVO?

I do have to admit that the EVO has put me closer to one stop shopping. It is now my primary source to the Web. I hardly use my laptop anymore. My daughter says she never opens hers. I am a talk radio junkie and this is how I listen to the radio, even while driving. Since Talk is on AM, I don't have to worry about signal fade and interferrence at red-lights.
It has also become a source of movie entertainment. I Rip movies and keep them on my 32GB SDcard. Last night, while at a burger joint, three of us watched "Crazies" until the pitch-fork scene since we were eating.
And I have hours of music on here also.
As an old fart who can actually remember our black bakelite phone w/o a dial and whose first computer was an Apple II (64k of Ram) , it is just unbelievable the emount of power I carry on my hip. We make Captain Kirk looked antiquated. All I have to do is remind myself that and it will be a while before I get bored.
Gots to get back to my Space Invaders game.
Ciao
