I pay $30/month for internet - should I cancel and get the Evo 4G???

2 issues,
The first is the 1mbps upload cap, the second being over abusing the phone internet thus forcing them to raise prices for the rest of us that have reasonable use to compensate.
Not to mention that they will terminate your account.

I was talking about home internet use in general. I got Clear internet 4g at my house and PS3 gaming, Netflix streaming, internet tc streaming all fail or suck. Speed test showed 6 to 7 mb speed (awesome), 40 to 50 % lost packets. My shitty 3mg dsl works fine for the above and lost packets 5%. Maybe I just wish I could cable and I am jelous - I am stuck with dsl or 4g.

same here ,although it is noticeably a tad slower then cable. my tethering to ps3 shows 1.5+mbps download 1mbps upload from 3g 3-5mbps on 4g. good luck with high end multiplayer games (black ops).its just a little laggy if you dont have a good connection.

i don't do much other than check my email. read forums. and maybe play some flash games online.

however, i do stream netflix, youtube, and megavideo.

if your in good coverage are it shoudlnt be an issue.....

try it all with the device you have right now... all the tethering usage anyone ever hears me talk about is usually in reference to the 2 TP1s sitting in my window sill.. so Im not even using 4G and i still use 80gb a month minimum.. stream nextflix, get movies,xboxlive

EVOs 3G is gonna peform about the same... Data Speeds arent device dependent really.. 3G has an avg/max so does 4G..

Good luck getting rid of clear and yes u should defenetly get rid of clear if it was cable no keep it but clear yes like right now and just use evo its awsome it has it downs but way more better then clear and may I tell please use the sprint hot spot works way better then the free wifi but issues on windows 7 wifi but worth the 30 bucks thoe

I really don't understand your post.

As well, isn't Clear and the Evo's 4G offered thru Clear?

To the OP......
We have Clear in our area and now finally got 4G recently.

My next door neighbor and my cousin about 6 blocks away both have Clear. Dropped Cable internet, went to basic Cable and Clear. I'm thinking about doing the same thing soon. They aren't techies but they love it and it suits ther needs.

I was alo told you take the Clear Modem any where you go and if not in 4G coverage, you still get 3G coverage.

I know that doesn't answer your questions about tethering but at least it give you something to go by if you decide to get Clear.

On clear the more u use the less speeds u will have or once u get it u will never hit the speeds they say u will have eaither way on any clear modem they will slow ur speeds to. 25 kb and manage u cap and on evo full speeds and never slow down and unlimited both ways trust me stay away from clear no good at all

Thats what I said. I think if people didnt abuse it I think we wouldnt have that $10 fee and SERO would still be around
