I don't I think phone runs fast enough for me I just want better battery life

Aye so many questions lol! Bear with me Do you use an extended battery? Have u seen improvement in the battery life? How long can you without a charge? I am thinking of just flashing the kernel without using a custom rom.

stock battery
i've seen great battery life
i use my fone heavily and have more then 30% at 9pm
i use sbc 15

Thanks for your help. I think I was able to switch the kernel. I charged it to 79% and after 5hrs of heavy use my phone dropped to 66%. Now just out of curiosity, can I change icons of apps without flashing a custom rom?

Thanks again, but I think I'm going to leave that alone. Between widgets, apps and wallpaper, I will be statisfied with the look of my phone. But there are two major issues I have with my phone and I wondering if there are any tweaks I can do address them:

1) While I am playing music, notifications would interrupt it. Is there any tweak to let the music play over notifications? The only idea I have is to put the phone in airplane mode;

2) I use Activesync. It annoys me when I get an email, and I read it on the computer, the notification does not go away on the phone, until a new email arrive. Is there a tweak to fix activesync so that it automatically confirms tha an email has been read even though it was not done on the phone?

there is no tweak for notifications that i can think of you going to have use an app like
Notification Manager - Android app on AppBrain

Tasker - Android app on AppBrain
use them to turn it off will music app is in use

as for syncing issue what app you using?

I am not using an app, but an exchange server for work emails. This syncs with outlook.
