Ok I have had NO problems after dumping my SD onto my mac, formatting (0'ing out the card), replacing the files and restarting the phone. So far so good. I will keep you all apprised. I am not against buying new SD either since 16gbs are so cheap lately.

When and if you replace the card, jump up to a Class 6 (or higher) card. It will cost more but is much better for running apps. The problem with transferring apps to teh SDCard is latency with the slower cards.
