Stop sms message content from appearing in notification bar and on lock screen?

I use handcent, and i have it set to just give me a little icon with a number in my status bar when I get a text...it shows the handcent icon with a 1, 2, 3,...ect.. for the number of texts I have. No where on my screen does it show any kind of content or such for the message. I have to physically open my messaging app to read them...

wow, man comes and doesnt get a real answer but a bunch of BS, wheres the mod? anyways, this is what u need.

u need to be rooted. this overwrites the portion in the htc lockscreen apk to not display alerts in lockscreen. this means calls, texts, etc. ull see the icon on ur notification bar tho.

stolen from xda. which is where u really should go to find most hacks. most fixes here are just pasted from there.

there an app called "messaging tool" you can download it from the Market. Disable the default notifiacation, Use messaging tool to configure your notification. When a text or sms come thru you will notified with a little mail icon "that it" no message info.
