Re: New ota 3.70.651 12-15-10

I had a version of SWYPE installed already. I installed the update and my version didn't work any more. So I uninstalled it and installed the Gingerbread KB. If I want SWYPE back how do I get it because it is not an option now.

Re: New ota 3.70.651 12-15-10

You get it by long pressing on the input field. An option comes up that says input method and you then select swype. Also:

All,

The issue of listening to specific wav files has been resolved in this latest update. I can now listen to my uverse voicemails again with the default music player. Enjoy

So far everyone that was rooted with unrevoked has lost root. Did you have root with unrevoked before your update?

If you are rooted, don't bother with the OTA. It won't load. You will need to install the RUU and that will blow your root

Did it happen to you? Someone just said that they did ota update from unrevoked root and they were still on root. I wish someone had a definite answer.

Re: New ota 3.70.651 12-15-10

That is just the problem. Everything is "someone", "he said, she said", "I read somewhere.." No one has come forward and said, " I installed the OTA and am now fully rooted. I don't care whether they lost root and restored it or kept root or even where never rooted but installed the OTA and discovered they were fully rooted.

I am waiting for the first person in the latest release to come forward, say that are rooted and what they did to get there. So far, I don't think it is happening.

Good point. I also will be waiting for good proof that the ota update will not make me loose my root. Either way, the ota update is too big for not being that important. I will gladly loose root for a gingerbread update though.

If youre worried about your root why dont you just flash a rooted version of the update or a rom that has it implemented already?
