The airvana is locked out to public access. That ip address only works with the older airave. I have spoken to tech support about this and they claim there is no way to change the restrictions. This is why that ip will not connect to the airvana.

Ah thank you, friend. I was on the verge of contacting them myself. Its crazy they say that because the instruction manual says to connect to this ip.

Re: Evo Airave/Handcent/Data connection issue
Its not the device, about six weeks ago my airave stopped working, about the time we got 3g here, after hoours of tech support sprint replaced the airave with an airvana, after many more hours with tech they replaced this with a new airvana, same problem it still wont connect. I have hooked it before and after router. Reset, hard reset, reset modem, router, and airvana, tried all router settings I can think of. I would really like for this thing to work.

Re: Evo Airave/Handcent/Data connection issue
I have the new airvana and can connect to that IP address. However, the problem I'm having is when I make a phone call it will drop the call at about 45 sec and reconnect. So basically I'll be talking to someone and all of the suddently it will drop the call and I'll hearing rining in the ear piece like I just called the person and am waiting for them to pick up. It does this three times in a row all about 45-50 seconds apart and then drops the call copletely. It does this with multiple phones not just the evo but does not do this on every call. I've called tech support and every time I call I can't reproduce the problem. It's really annoying though.

I am joining the club. I have had three brand new airvanas with no success. Multiple attempts with technical support. Every blue moon I will wake up in the middle of the night and it will be connected. When it works its great. I think the evo and airvanna are not really compatible. I have a new modem and router. Still nothing consistent. |
