Re: screen burn-in on my evo
LCDs do experience burn in..if you read any LCD manual they all state..do not have a static image for a long period of time...most if not all LCD manufacturer warranties does not cover burn-ins..so my guess is HTC won't either.
Most of the time though the burn-ins are temporary..thus you can do the full white screen and see if it helps

You might try Touch Test. It shows you touch points. You will know if the screen is re-active in that area.

Re: screen burn-in on my evo
The pics look like moisture under the screen not burn in. What caused this burn in? If you don't know it's moisture. If it is moisture it will dry out the best way is to leave the phone in sunlight or the screen on so it heats up. I have left a static image on the screen for over a hour and not had any burn in to get some moisture out.

That spot looks just like an pcs that has had too much pressure applied too one area.
That can be caused by applying to much pressure the screen ..or if there are any protruding pieces of hardware under it and you squashed the phone somehow and pinched it that could apply as well. It also reminds me of old tft displays uggg Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

Re: screen burn-in on my evo
I think this is an EVO specific problem. I've looked at the posted pics and I have the same spots in the exact same places. The lower one is more apparent and is above and slightly to the left of the "back" softkey and another lighter one is almost directly in the middle of the screen. I can tell you that this is not a moisture issue and it's not a "burn in" issue. There may be heat sources under these spots which is why they appear in the exact same spot on all EVOs. The spots are not there when the screen is displaying dark colors. They will show up on medium to lighter colors only. It is obvious when displaying an all white screen. It's really annoying when composing emails and such.
