Party foul turned my Evo into a never-ending Car Panel. Help?

I spilled beer on my phone just last night and lately it's been automatically turning on the Car Panel app which is ridiculously annoying. I made it so it doesn't auto-detect and turn on, but now when I call people it automatically turns to speaker phone which is also annoying.

I'm assuming it was because of the beer (water) damage but I cleaned it up right after and it wasn't even that bad. Anyone know what causes this and if there is any way to fix it? I'd hate to bring it into Sprint and pay them to fix it just because of speaker phone issue. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks PPC

Did you immediately pull the battery?

Try putting your device in some dry rice to help absorb the moisture still trapped within.

Get a screw driver n open it n try to clean the inside

Anytime you get liquid in a electonic device you do not try to see if it works again. You immediate pull the battery, put the device in uncooked rice (in a plastic bag) for 4-7 days, this takes patience and people want to turn it on to see if it still works, powering it up can/will ruin it while there is mositure inside. I had a cell phone that got totally wet 2 times (fell in a river, dropped in 3 inches of water in my john boat) and the phone worked 100% because I did this. If after doing the above it does not power up, try replacing battery. Please let everyone of your family and friends know this, oassw

Well, I already powered on my device and everything after the incident so I'm already past the point of pulling the battery and putting it in rice.

I turned off the automatic Car Panel detecting, but theres no way I can stop it from automatically dialing out on Speakerphone when I call?

yea man, like rollrsk8ter said. get some rice, put the rice and phone in a zip lock bag. put it like in your garage or something where its hot and little air flow.

that S.O.B will be back to normal in no time.

Depending on the type of beer the best thing to do would be to run it under water and then do the rice trick. Serious.

Beer is bad for all electronics... My friend spill beer on his laptop and fryed the mobo on it.. So a week later taking it apart their was a thick residue of beer caked on it.. It was bad.
