Menu-> unlock's phone bug fix FOUND

just wondering if theres a fix for the bug where you press menu button on the lock screen and it unlocks your phone, i find this quite annoying

just tried unlocking by hitting the menu button. several times. didn't unlock for me.

do you have htc lock or vanilla? i have the vanilla lock

Sounds like you should ditch vanilla and go back to stock and thats your fix.

I have stock I just removed htclockscreen.apk its very laggy when i unlock thats why I like aosp lock screen

I'm on DC 3.2.3 on 2.1, and it doesn't happen to me, tried it. Will have to try it on my wife's rooted 2.2 tomorrow (BTW, working one her phone is getting me closer to upgrading to 2.2, but I'm still not there yet lol, I'm a patient man)

there is code that can be changed and added to fix this but i have no idea how to do it. cyanogen pointed me here: core/res/res/values/config.xml at dc138a8865bd34163cfefd32b1e89c27788e5538 from CyanogenMod's android_frameworks_base - GitHub and the part that needs to be implemented is in this line:

im guessing the code needs to be compiled and added to the rom some way. this only really seems to be an issue with the stock rom. i like cyanogenmod but i wanna keep 4G, ive tested out many other roms as well and the stock does me justice, find i actually get the best battery life out of it with the way i use it.

does anyone know anything about compiling code and maybe fixing this issue once and for all?
