Re: HTC Confirmed OTA Fix for EVO 4G
Unrevoked posted on their Twitter a few hours ago:
If 3.29.651.5 be the final version of the #evo4g OTA, then it is safe to flash -- unrevoked and unrevoked forever still work. |

Re: HTC Confirmed OTA Fix for EVO 4G
I had debunked the 30fps issue over in XDA
"HTC was full of it when they said it was the HDMI chip (data sheet link posted below). Can't be the camera either (link below). It's not the panels either (link below). I know the GPU isn't the greatest but doubt that's it. The only hardware I can think of is ID10t programming module." Supersonic - Htc-linux Last edited by Lokifish; 09-21-2010 at 11:57 PM. |

Re: HTC Confirmed OTA Fix for EVO 4G
Yes, the problem would occur when your phone is actively using gps while you are on a phone call. After about 5 to 10 minutes the phone will reboot itself, I have this issue with both me and my girls evos and I can duplicate it every single time and it is very annoying. There have been a few so call fixes but none have worked for me.

I've never seen people so positive about a *possible* update without any proof before. Usually people get drilled without pics or some sort of proof. All i see is a post on "sdx" developers (does that site even have a reputation for getting leaks?) with a random build number with some features listed and no files... Did I miss something? Can that guy be trusted? I'd love to see an update though.

Re: HTC Confirmed OTA Fix for EVO 4G
rooting the stock o/s is relatively simple if you have unrevoked s-off (security off). just reflash recovery, then superuser permissions, then busybox (if you have apps that require it)
