Best bet is to become a Swype beta tester that way you can get the update when ever the old one expires.

I'm a registered beta tester as well but when I try that installer I get an error message telling me "enter the user name and password you registered at beta.swype.com" and that's what I'm doing and it's not working...

I had the same problem this morning, I forgot how long it actually takes to individually press each virtual key. My determination led me to a newer version. I believe this is from the Samsung Galaxy S. Search for version 1.61.37.8128.t100. I didn't really want to try it on my EVO because in parenthesis it says symbian. I tried it anyway and it works fine, it even looks better.

I have the apk for the 1.6 version, but it is 15 MB, while the previous I had was 2 something, can anyone else confirm this?

Yea, Mine is 16.2MB! I don't really care though, its not like it's slowing me down any. And it works!!

Oh yeah I forgot about that version floating around over on XDA, I'm gonna give it a shot... I just liked mine a lot cuz it was themed black/red like my phone =(

I would post the link to the updated version, but I don't wanna get yelled at lol...
