Camera:blue tint in Auto mode when in Sun
I swapped my evo out at a Sprint repair center, got the new/refurb unit in and saw that it had 2.2 on it and I went through the timely process of rooting and everything was running perfectly after root . I did not check anything on camera other than if it was "working". Well, a few days later I went to take a few pictures of a room i had done some remodeling on and as always before just left the camera in auto mode. The was some sunlight coming barely through the side of some curtains on a window and when I looked at the view before snapping the pic , I noticed the sunlight, had an incredible blue tint to it. I thought it was strange and went to adjust my lighting and by going to daylight setting , it removed the blue tint. I never hd to do this before. I went out side on a bright sunny dy and placed it back in auto mode and sure as you could bet, The whole picture had the blue tint due to the sunlight/bright light. This has to be a white balance issue , but has anyone had issues with white baance in auto mode ? Now I know I could just take pics outside in the daylight settings and that is fine , but when you switch to daylight on an inside photo , it changes the hue of everything in the pic so that it is not quite the normal color. . My question is, has anyone else experienced this issue? I am wondering if the phone was a refurb that had this issue and was never repaired or if rooting and reflashing could have caused it( I reflashed with stock rom) . Any one out there have anything to add? I have tried all settings and ISO settings but this problem persists when in Auto mode. It's asif something in the sensing is not correctly identifying the amount of light or spectrum in auto mode. Any help is appreciated.
I am hoping for a fix instead of having to take the phone in for a WB problem. The Sprint Techs are not always the brightest and easiest to deal with and I hate to have to reroot another phone should it get exchanged.
