My phone is way more responsive and faster in every respect.
I'm on Virus's B2 ROM and I don't have any of those issues either and my phone still has plenty of battery left at the end of the day, after moderate/heavy use... I'm just tryin to see if there would be a reason to try it, considering it is missing some things still... Or if my ROM that I'm on now is just as good if not better since it's not missing much...

To each his own but did you even read the very first post. You know the starting post the one with all the options CM6 offers. You must have skipped it. Go back and read the parts that are indented with the - mark. Further more this isnt a thread discussing why CM6 is so much better its a thread discussing what CM6 offers because it offers so much more then the STOCK rom I wanted to detail what CM6 has to offer. CM6 is a heavy in settings and mods and includes lots of extra tweaks.

There was a tone of CM6 this and CM6 that posts that I personaly felt my original post could help clear some of that up. Obviously it didnt considering your lack of understanding or you just didnt read my first post. Which is it?

Now I dont want to down any other roms, there are many great roms. The nice thing as I said before about the Evo and root is that it gives us the freedom to choose what rom, launcher and settings we want.

If your satisfied, no real reason to change, other then the "new toy" factor. Maybe I will nand backup and try the Virus B2 myself..

I was testing CM6 for like a 3 days and is really good, i returned to sense roms because 4G issue, but im possitive that is not a downgrade is really stable (i need to mention that i never got problems with OMJ rom im loyalty to his roms) even on stock kernel is really smoth and if you find the right widget probably you dont fell the diference talking about cosmetic screens, so in my poor opinion is like this both roms are goods, market is open and you can go with the once you think is providing all that you need.

Re: CM6 Rom (Detailed) Edit: shortened

Quick bump to the OP...nice summary about CM6. I am a first time CM user (my first Android phone)...and I have been VERY impressed:

-level of customization is amazing
-the painless app to SD card transfer is lovely
-the huge user base to draw knowledge from (it is a very popular) ROM
-NO SENSE
-touch to focus on BOTH the camera and the camcorder

as for the things that are missing...I do believe the HDMI issue is being worked out right now...4G is forthcoming (there is a donation thread for CM6 users to up the ante and incentive to get 4G working on CM)

as for FM radio...there is an app in the market that I think makes the FM radio obsolete- TuneIn Radio - give it a shot...its free (i think) and you DON'T have to have an additional antenna to get it working.

Re: CM6 Rom (Detailed) Edit: shortened

Even though CM6 is nice and unique, well in a stock nexus type of way. I had to revert to stock.

Downloading Fancy/beautiful widgets just to look like HTC Sense is strange, but that wasn't my reasoning. I had to have a working voice recorder and camera. Unfortunately the voice recorder apps weren't as good or would FC, as well as the camera.. Then it would error out, can not connect to camera and have to reboot the phone.. I'm guessing the camera was the major factor.

Stalling on market download/install, having to apply a patch... Simple things, but none the less annoying.

How does the launcher pad disappear and how do you make it reappear? lol

I do like many of the features though..

Re: CM6 Rom (Detailed) Edit: shortened

I don't understand the point of this thread at all. There are lots of Rom's out there, should they all have a full write up for them in our general forums though? No.

If people are curious or want to know more about it, they can just go to that respective roms thread (whichever forum it may be on) and get what they want to know there.

Blatantly advertising for a Rom just seems very silly however.

Because Cyanogen is built from the source up..I agree that every sense ROM that is basically just removing some .apk's and applying some tweaks isn't the same as a ROM completely built from source so they don't need a write up..

I don't see moderator as your title so who are you to say? You could have just skipped over this topic if it bothered you.

Not all roms are discussed as heavily in the general forum as this rom. Thats probably because this rom can be complicated from all the customization. I dont know I was trying to be helpfull. Oddly enough thats something that gets unrewarded by some. Regardless I thought this thread was needed and so I took the time to do the write up and make this post.

Also have you been over to XDA where the main CM6 rom post is? That thread is huge. Yes there is plenty of usfull posts in that thread but there are a lot more posts like yours. Yours being completly useless by the way, you cant argue that either, there is absolutly nothing in your post that is helpful. More over that post over at XDA is so long it would take days to navigate, maybe longer. This thread is an atempt at breaking down the main points. Heck, I was reading something yesterday about a CM6 setting I didnt even know about.

This rom needs no advertising from me, the forums give it enough word of mouth advertising. When it first poped up for the evo it was almost as destructive to the forum as 2.2 was when that was official lol.

Re: CM6 Rom (Detailed) Edit: shortened

Think some people don't understand the depth that some of these custom ROMs have to offer. Especially the ones that are in constant development. I remember when the thread for Calkulin's WinMo kitchens would go out of control because it was such an AWESOME tool. CyanogenMods are by far the most well known ROM for Android. I don't think the OP set out to disrespect any other ROMs out there...its just the buzz about cyanogen makes it more well known.

I have ran OMJ's and Fresh's work before I turned cyan...I liked those other ROMs...but CM is just my flavor in terms of closest thing to stock Android...oh by the way...Sense have been played out since TP2 dropped on us.
