Do my eyes deceive me? CM6 FINAL released at last? - Page 3

Apparently there are still nightly builds being created each night. So work hasnt stopped on this. This shouldn't have been released as the final.

I've run it for two days now, and have had nothing but random reboots for the last 6 hours. Even wiped and started over, with none of my software reinstalled, still random reboots. Changed kernels from the 825Snap to the 875Snap, which is supposedly more stable, no difference. This, along with the phantom voicemail notification, adds up to a steamy pile of FAIL. I'm going to flash the latest nightly and see if that runs any more stable.

The main thing I love about the rom is the ability to see if I'm actually under RTT or EVDO. In Sense, I hated seeing the 3g indicator and really only connected at 2g speeds.

Awhile? I really wouldnt call 37 minutes awhile. Now if it was 37 minutes in the Evo/Upgrade forums, that would be different.

So your phone isn't stable running and random rebooting using snap 825 and 875? WTF does some experimental kernel have to do with the stability of Cyanogen?

Want to get rid of the random reboots?

I want my phone to work with all the features it is capable of whether it's stock or custom. Sure, it may get a little better batt life but at what expense? I'm not knocking ANY developer or their hard work that they put into this but releasing a mod as final with features missing, albeit one's that aren't that important, is crazy. I will eventually re-root my phone once all kinks are worked out but for now, for me, stock works and works good for my needs without any hassle. I just don't see a full final version with all features working anytime soon without some sort of glitch. I hope they do though!

mrDSL....I like sense. Sure! It could be better but that's what custom roms are for. But I don't like spending X amount on a phone with features fubar'ed. Kinda like buying a corvette with that shiney new V8 but with 2 cylinders flatlined with the promise of it being fixed in the future. Senseless. I'm not knocking you or anyone, but I just don't see the logic in all this.

i have been following cm6 since the beginning and flashed countless nightlies. its been a rollercoaster ride, but i really dont miss sense at all. the only 2 htc apps i ever used/liked were the clock and people widget, but fancy widget and the paid version of launcher pro solves that for me.

the only thing i really miss is the bubble email notifications for exchange mail, but its def not a deal breaker. im not in a 4g area, i dont have an hdmi cable, and i dont listen to fm radio so its not a big deal either to me either.

i have heard lots of rumors of 4g in my area by the end of the year so in 3 months i hope they figure out the 4g issue.

Oh, MrDSL. i wanted to thank you for the mail.zip that fixed my constant security error with exchange mail over on xda =)
