Yah the Icon does show the number of VM you have. even on my wifes Hero it shows. I just rooted my phone so i had to format everything and i will take a picture when i find a good screen shot app.

Yea, if the icon is of the vm widget, then it will show the number of new VMs. However, if it's just a shortcut to the vm app, then it won't.

I keep trying to do the update it wont go I am rooted running fresh rom any help will be appreciated.

Try doing it connected over WiFi. I was connected to WiFi and 4G and was able to download the update.

I'm running stock room though.

ok i have tried it every way yo can think of and no go i can get it to download but it fails in the install so does anyone have a bright idea. running fresh rooted and toast 4.1.1.9
