app to back up my contacts without using gmail?

Is that possible? I had the touch pro 2 which I could back up and restore my contaCts with Pim back up. can I do that without gmail?

Open people. Select menu. Select import/export. Select export to SD card.

Make sure your using Astro or something equivelent to see contents on SD card. This will back up your contacts and able to reinstall in a pinch if something happenes.

After 2 attempts (with errors) and still was unable to restore my contacts using mybackup, I gave up using it. HTC sync is too much of a hassle. I haven't tried the other though but I think I will to test it out.
