All Evo Froyo 2.2 "is it rooted yet" talk [solved]

so a person who did the ota 2.2 cannot downgrade to 2.1, root then flash a rooted froyo rom yet? any eta when this might be able to happen?

From what I have heard no ETA for you guys. And no to the first question. I think some of the problem is all the devs for the most part who would/could make this happen already have rooted phones, so it isn't exactly a priority nomesayin? Could be wrong but that is just my take on why it hasn't happened yet.

so what do people do when they buy the phone from sprint and it comes pre-loaded with froyo? id like to think the devs would work on this. unless they are all jumping ship again to the epic?

I don't think they are jumping ship, but who knows. People don't do anything when they buy the phone preloaded with Froyo at this point. Sit and wait, but it does seem like they are getting close.
