Are you saying you took an unrooted phone with the stock froyo 2.2 and rooted it with unrevoked3 or you were able to upgrade to froyo 2.2 from a phone rooted with unrevoked3?

AFAIK there aren't any root options for those who flashed the OTA 2.2 from Sprint
