Re: Was updating to 2.2 worth it?

Yes totally worth it. My phone is snappier than ever. My average linpack score was 37 (using sense) from 6.5 on 2.1 + sense using rooted stock. No lag as far as I can see.

Currently using Ava's V3 + 3.6.7b (now linpack goes to 42).

I agree. I was happy with the .3 release, but applied the "fix" anyway to get current. That effectivley wiped my phone (I was a little hasty in downloading and running the patch - probably wouldn't have if I knew I would be reistalling/configuring). The .6 official is running perfectly and my battery life improved signifigantly. I have Exchange pushing 24/7, 3 POP accounts and a Gmail account all active - havent charged since last night and am sitting at 45 percent.

I spent alot of time cooking roms for my Mogul and flashing other chef's roms to my TP and TP2 - just havent gotten around to it with my EVO yet, but I will.

Re: Was updating to 2.2 worth it?

The only thing I regret is the bad sound quality of Pandora now. The screen scrolling/lag/glitchy issues were due to Netarchy's kernal (which, the Video was gorgeous, but...)

I know there's a "fix" for for the streaming audio by going into adb, but man.

Otherwise, Froyo is now a pleasure thx to the stock kernal

P.S. I do wish the "previous apps" screen popped up a little faster like how it was on 2.1 (the fade effect is nice, but it takes a second longer now), but I do appreciate the extra two spaces.

Re: Was updating to 2.2 worth it?

One routine bug with the upgrade (the first alarm of the day does not routinely display the dismissal screen).

Bluetooth is better 'cause it is clearer and it still bites over-all.

Battery life is ok for what I do with it.

Upgrade again? not for this one. I equate this update to those we have to pay for from Dataviz.

Re: Was updating to 2.2 worth it?

Both are the same too me. I flashed earlier and it did gave me some problems, but I think it was just a bad build. Now I flash with release 2 days ago and everything seem to be fine.

Only thing I fine weird is some app from market, it downloaded but wouldn't install. I canceled and tried again the next day it works.

Re: Was updating to 2.2 worth it?

Stock 2.2 and no problems here. Loving it. It seems the majority of those having problems are on custom ROMS.
