I ran a lot of the pre release betas and wasn't too crazy about it. I haven't had any of your issues either. There was always something wrong. I too went back to 2.1. I just came back to froyo, they seem trouble free. They got a lot more polished. To me all the hype is bs because I don't see he huge leap. But be thankful, most of us came from win6.5, the difference between that and winmo5 isn't much and hey had like 3 yrs.

So my summary:to me froyo isn't he revolution that Google touted it to be. It is an improvement though

Re: Ok is there anybody besides me that HATES froyo?!

I do not think you can blame "froyo". I am on stock, non rooted, xx.3 leaked OTA update and have had no issues at all.

I just mention that so you have a trouble-shooting point of reference, to the fact that without modifications and other apps installed, it is working in it's majority and it may be the rom, apps or mods/customizations on your unit that are causing your issues.

I agree, but when you go from OMJ to baked, to Fresh, wiping, & flashing cache, d cache, bat info before each flash, and still have the same camcorder problem, what else do you do? My flash back to 2.1 has camcorder working right away, and it works every time.

I even tried the custom kernel on 2.2 without any luck.

I found the following that had the same problem. See these from XDA.

Re: Was updating to 2.2 worth it?

Updated when OTA was pushed to my phone. No problems at all. Battery life is the same as it was before - excellent.

My verdict: 2.2 is a direct improvement over 2.1.

Re: Was updating to 2.2 worth it?

Froyo is awesome. I really wish HTC would have included some of the cool apps like the 3D gallery.

Overall a very good experience.
