i don't know yet about g chat. im still trying to work on that one.

but as for the fring step by step instructions.......(real simple)
i'm not sure if everyone has their fring updated, but just go to the market and make sure your fring version is the most updated one out.

1) make an account with fring
2) add your friends
3) when you click on your friend, there are three icons on the bottom
4) tap on the icon that looks like a video/studio camera
5) your buddy needs to accept, and you have video conferencing.

also, just to describe my attempt. i didn't see my buddy on my screen for like 10 secs and then it finally came up. but he was able to see me right away.
