I get about 10 hrs on a standard battery. Not too bad actually. I have 3 spares Justin Case.
I do see my display is taking up 66% but I don't expect much out of the batteries anyway. Waiting on my 3000mah to come in

Re: CM6 RC1 anyone running this and not having bad battery?
Well I have been running CM6 nightly builds lately and cant say battery is much worse than any other rom for me.. but I am overclocked with screen brightness turned up so guess I am so used to being plugged all the time anyways that low battery doesn't phase me..
you can try tonights nightly build and see if it helps I am sure it has some improvements (at least a newer kernal version) over the RC.. http://mirror.kanged.net/cm/nightly/supersonic/

Re: CM6 RC1 anyone running this and not having bad battery?
Lol you guys are nuts. If you make sure your phone is sleeping you dont need three batteries and you dont need to worry about how bright your screen is. With the DC 3.2.3 rom I was running Id get a fully day of heavy use and still have 20% left over. The phone would sleep though when I wasnt using it. The RC1 rom from Cyan I am running wont seem to go to sleep and for the life of me I can not figure it out. I am in love with this rom lol. I am gonna try the battery fix in his trouble shooting page first. I will let yall know how that goes.
If I flash the newest nightly over the RC1 do I have to wipe? I am kinda figuring if I wipe I am in the clear if I dont wipe its 50/50 wether I will be successfull? Is that about right? Thanks for the help thus far guys. |

Re: CM6 RC1 anyone running this and not having bad battery?
I'm running 7/28's nightly flashed on top of RC1 with the snap v3 kernal. My EVO is overclocked to 1.19...
couple of things...first...think it was noted in the nightly build AND the RC1 thread that since the ROM was NOT built from an EVO source...that the battery level indicated MAY NOT be accurate. I'd list the posts...but they are both such monster threads! secondly, MagnusRagnorak mentioned an app that he uses...and that I tested for me today that worked wonders for battery life...juice defender. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1507 I'm now using juice defender...and have definitely noticed a difference...I don't have hard stats ie percentage and type of use yet...since i have yet to give it a full day...I am however impressed enough to bring it to the table for all to test

I'm running RC1 and I'm getting 12 hours. Using exchange, texting, browsing, calling and pandora.

Re: CM6 RC1 anyone running this and not having bad battery?
I usually have issues with battery life after I flash a new nightly rom. I just turn off the mobile network, and leave it off for about 5 minutes. I then turn it back on, and I'm good to go. I don't have any battery issues after that.
