EVO on verizon, no evdo, help pls

I got my htc evo fully working on verizon with the exception of evdo, i believe my problem is the password in ppp an tab with qpst. Is the password my esn? or maybe its somethine else im missing

I have not tried this, but this person was using Verizon towers on a Sprint Evo here.

Do you relize that Sprint/Verizon share the same towers...they both use CDMA technology.

Lol was thinking this as well. I was in the mountains all weakend roaming on verizon towers.

Yes I did realize that. I can tell you that just because one has 3g it does not mean the other does. I can also tell you that just because you can download with a Sprint phone this doesn't mean you can also download with a Verizon phone. Come to my hometown with a Verizon phone and test it out. I can download fine with the Evo, but people all the time ask me what's up with their phones, if they are on verizon, because they won't connect to internet.

Just because it is CDMA doesn't mean it is universal.

+1, not in particular many "devs", but lots of users willing to help for sure.

Personally I think it has to do with your HDR and AA secret/password, data profile settings. I am sure the server and DNS IP are different for VZW..

Wouldn't ota programming put in the proper ha secret ?also if it helps my 1x internet works fine.

Just because two people use a computer doesn't mean the use the same password. Nice correlation?
