A new Rom would be like starting over.... so yes it should clear out any bad files

Okay, done, just need to pick a good ROM. I ended up with Software # 1.17.651.1, though I had .6 before. Not sure that affects anything. I use the phone heavily for business, and no gaming at all. Stability and compatibility with business software I've bought, like Documents to Go is most critical to me. Should I then go with one of the Stock rooted ROM's? Can I go with the .6 one on this page?

Does this 3-Step method mean I can use any ROM, even the one's that say it only works with Toast's method (since that may have meant it didn't work with unrevoked)?

So far I have had no problems... I have even flashed the CM6 froyo that stated toast method required... I think its has more to do with being Nand unlocked than anything and Toast was the only reliable way to do that for a while...

I wanna say that it is just a CYA statement by the ROM chef...

Damage control 3.2.3 is what I run... I like staying stock as much as possible and he left the Sprint apps in for you to remove instead of dropping them for you to install.. stable as hell with no hang ups and good battery life without doing any tweaks.... and pretty good support from the chef..
