You could have bad 3g if you root your phone!!!

I used to have the Hero with fresh rom and the 3g speed was very good in my town, I changed for the EVO on June 4th and the first two weeks the internet was the same with no problems, I rooted the phone (full root) and I noticed my internet was slow and intermittent in same locations but I did not pay attention at that moment, I had to return my phone bc the gps not working and they sent me a new evo and for the first week the internet was the same as my hero but I rooted the phone again and my internet is slow again. and no way to get it back bc we can not restore our pri version.

I'm gunna go out on a limb and say rooting had nothing to do with it 100%. There just isn't a way. I understand it may seem to you that rooted did this but I would be looking at other things like what PRL are you running. I get that speed were faster on two phone before rooting but root access has nothing and I mean NOTHING to do with 3g speeds there is something else going on.

I went back to stock with the ruu file, I updated the prl and profile and did some research and the problem is with the pri version that is used in the root file P36IMG.

I'm glad you figured it out. I knew it was a PR issue
I think your getting crap cause of the name of the thread. It would be better to ask what would cause slow speeds after rooting then to make such a bold statement as rooting hurts 3g speeds.

And others come on it was clear he needed help not that he was stating a fact. How about some support and help that's what I believe we're all here for.

Do you have a proof of that? I just want to know! Don't take it in the wrong way.
