I tested my speeds before and after Full rooting and they were the same. On 3 different phones mind you. but I guess it's possible.

Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful) is the motto of the Corps. That Marines have lived up to this motto is proved by the fact that there has never been a mutiny, or even the thought of one, among U.S. Marines.

That sounds like a better title.

So what is pri, and how does it affect 3G speed?

Re: You could have bad 3g if you root your phone!!!

I have never had any issues with my data speed and I have full root. You could do a data restore after root. shouldn't need to but maybe that would help. just dial ##3282# enter your msl (can be obtained from cs or a store) then click restore.

Re: You could have bad 3g if you root your phone!!!

I'm on the 1.34_003 PRI after rooting as well and I haven't noticed any difference in my data speeds... likely it depends on your coverage area, just like a different PRL will effect signal strength differently for different people...

Man I am at work, browsing on my phone. There's no way I'm reading a 9 page thread about a problem I'm sure isn't affecting me. Can you just summarize real quick?
1: What is pri?
2: How does pri affect 3G speed?
3: What should my 3G speed be?

I'm fully rooted and as far as I know, my 3G is working fine. Once I get answers to the above questions I'll know if I should care about this problem or not. For all I know my 3G isn't working properly, but it's all I've ever known so it seems normal to me.

At the same time, I am not sure that just because there is a newer pri that the newer one will mean better 3G...

Re: You could have bad 3g if you root your phone!!!

I have my evo rooted, took me about 2-3 weeks for the wifes evo to get the same love and get rooted, and there was no difference in data speeds on the two
