EVO battery vs ipod battery as primary audio player?

i know ive seen a thread somewhere about using the EVO as a primary player but i cant seem to find it. my question is while i know how much we all strive to maximize our battery life how does it stack up againt the ipod/iphone? also is it possible to load up any podcast onto it, manually or otherwise?

The rss reader can accept podcasts

you can play music for hours and hours as long as you don't leave the screen on a lot. Music playback doesn't kill battery unless you're streaming something. If you switch to airplane mode, you'll get ridiculous life. There are apps for loading podcasts. Btw, i tried to see how long i could play music back without any other use (with data on) when i first got my evo... i left one song on repeat and it took forever for the battery to go down, so i just gave up.

I use my EVO as an MP3 player while at work (~5-6 hours/day) and I am able to get at least 15 hours out of my battery.

Glad to help. I too am in the market for new headphones, my Skull Candies just crapped out on me...
