Yeah you need your MSL number, search for it or call customer support and ask for it.

Your MSL code.

Several links on how to find it out... you can call *2 and ask for it, or, use cdma workshop.. directions in another thread. I did the workshop route, and it worked great.

The method I have outlined is completely different from this and I'm not talking about call quality at all, I'm talking about data speeds...

Re: EVRC-B in advanced settings triples my 3G speeds.. why / consequences?

After some light Internet research it seems that not all areas support EVRC-B. This would explain why its disabled by default, since its not 'ready' yet. But if it works in your area then it sounds like you should keep it on.

Wow..definitely not a placebo effect. I changed mine, and where I sit in living room, I was not able to get data before. Now 514kb d/l. As far as battery, who knows.

Actually, it doesn't seem to be affecting my battery at all... I haven't run into any adverse effects yet... anyone else?
