I tried that already and aging I am simply unable to use this for Exchange server. Don't know what the problem can be. Also tried this a year ago with TP1 and Mogul. Had same problem |

It works. Only problem is, that somehow, the contacts are not there in the phonebook unless I sign into my Google account and sync contacts. I really don't plan on using google or gmail or being signed in at all times. It is also not updating the calandar, so any contact that I have B day or anniversary for does not automatically add to calandar. Any insight on this issue? Text msgs worked flawlessly tho. |

Re: Help with contacts from WinMo to Evo
I realize that but as stated, that isn't my concern tho. I need contacts, in phone's address book. Not online address book that's offered once you set up an online (gmail, active sync or exchange) server access.

http://www.google.com/support/mobile...&answer=138636 This was the final method I ended up using. It didn't work the first time but the second it did. Very strange but in the end, everything converted. Now, there ARE limitations with calendar applications in Android: --You can't set up a customized recurrance in Android (on the device). For example, if you need an appointment to appear every 2nd or every 4th or every 2 weeks, it won't let you do it. You have to do that in Google Calendar and then sync to the device. When you open the "specially recurring appointment on the device, the particular appointment will say "Custom" in the recurrance field. --For some strange reason, I had some dates move either up or down a day or a week. Syncing a second time, fixed this (again, odd). --Starting with a COMPLETELY NEW calendar in Google Calendar is very necessary, otherwise, you'll have really strange results. Good luck. |
