Please HELP with battery 5% in 10 minutes

I have seen threads in the past but today i woke up and wanted to finally check my battery with the new stuff on it.

The phone is rooted and i DL the overclock widget and set it like many have posted.I do not let stuff run i kill most of the stuff i do not use.

But since it has been off my charge i looked on market and checked twidder and in 10 minutes i lost 5% and 3 of those minutes it was in sllep mode.

I am at loss on this phone battery life.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; AOSP on XDANDROID MSM Build/ECLAIR) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

You have GPS, sync and location service enabled? GPS really eats up the battery. Maybe a few services ran in the background.

Re: Please HELP with battery 5% in 10 minutes

Your phone does not trickle charge itself, that means that when it is full it stops charging and uses the battery.

So even though you just took it off the charger it doesn't mean it just started using the battery and dropped 5%. It just refreshed the display showing what it used since full charge. The 2% additional in 5mins, means it was already gonna drop another 1% and by you watching and turning on the screen, you used up another 1%..

Also another theory would be the same thing that happens when you are watching your clock, time slows down... As you watch your battery usage, the more gets used..

Re: Please HELP with battery 5% in 10 minutes

Once the phone is fully charged...It stops charging. For example, lets say you put the phone on charger before you go to bed and then at 3am it is fully charged. When you take it off the charger at 8am it has essentially been off the charger for 5 hours. What I do is as soon as I wake up, I unplug the phone for a minute then plug it right back in. Now, when I go to work the phone has a full charge. I hope this makes sense.
