Re: This is why the Evo is really out of stock!
Yeah, my Apache was a real trooper. It survived so much physical abuse. The Mogul was pretty sturdy too, although my TP1 had some problems. HTC may be hit or miss as far a quality goes, but I've been happy with the brand.

For what it's worth, I have only seen 1 defective Evo come back since the launch. It was for a raised screen that was showing a tiny bit of light through the bottom of screen. Nothing visible unless you were sitting in pitch dark. Don,t really get the problem but we took care of the customer because the customers perception was that it was defective. On a side note we have been pretty fairly in stock for the last couple of weeks. Wait till you guys see the Epic!!!!!!!!!

My TP was used until I got my Moment, then my wife got the TP. And it worked perfectly for her (despite the fact she dropped it 2-3 times a day out of her purse) until I got my Evo, we're talking probably 2 years out of the TP. So that sure doesn't sound like crap that has to be replaced in 1-2 months. (side note, the Mogul was replaced once .... because it was stolen from an unlocked car ... ) |

I don't get these hater comments at all. I have been nothing but happy with every HTC device I've had. My touch pro was awesome and lasted me for 2 years. I even got a friend to join Sprint for the TP2 a yr ago and she has loved it. I guess soe people are just doing things with their phones that I don't understand. The EVO has been amazing for me. Does everything I want and more while doing it perfectly. I've never had a single problem with it. Maybe I'm just lucky or something.

Sprint may have given away phones but in order to use the phone you gotta be a sprint 2 year customer; or pay 250 for etf. There's where the money lies: Monthly service, etf's, and extras. So for those phones they gave away sprint just gained those 5,000 customers.

Re: This is why the Evo is really out of stock!
I have owned quite a few HTC devices and have had minimal problems and will not buy a phone from any other maker. If you don't like them, then don't buy them....its just that easy
