The standard Android? You do know that Sense is just a widget, right? Touch it, hold down, then drag it to the trash. You can always add it back later if you want, the same way you'd add any other widget.

sense is an overlay not a widget, depending if you have updated you used to be able to go to settings-applications-htc sense-clear defaults. then hit the home button, if not you might need to download a different launcher, i use launcherpro from the market

Sense UI is built into the Sprint ROM, quite heavily. The only way to remove it, is to root the phone and flash a ROM that doesn't have it included.

In all honesty, im very interested but im the kind of person that isn't confident enough to do it without someone physically showing me, or talking me thru it. just reading straight text kind of scares me, i know im a wuss :-\
