no you cant connect it to your router.
just usb tether it to a laptop than use the laptop as a router

Thanks to everyone for the comments and suggestions. I got it to work very easily. Got home turned WiFi on my EVO and connected to my house's internet. Plugged my EVO into my computer and selected the 'internet sharing' option from my EVO. Within seconds my computer connected no problem(running Ubuntu on my computer). I don't pay for Sprint Hot Spot or anything like that. Very pleased to know that this works and how easy it was even if I will only need it for a week like this.
