Contacts finder

Please tell me that there is another way to find a specific contact reasonably or much quicker than scrolling through your contact list from top to bottom to find the name. Even using the little letter thing on the side is quirky and inefficient at best. Thanks for all feedback.

if your used to t9, you can just type the first few 'letters' of the persons name after pressing "PHONE" using the keypad .i.e. #2 for 'abc' #3 'def', etc...

but that just helps when trying to dial their number
EDIT if you use t9 to find them you can click on their 'contact' card to see it or press their picture to instantly call them
