I still don't understand how a grounding issue could/would be fixed with a software update, as grounding is a physical hardware issue..

Though I have used my device laying on things and it worked just fine.

EDIT: This post on the update seems most up to date and informative. http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/06...ere-not-froyo/

How the EVO interprets the electrical pulses on the touch screen is all software though. In other words once it got out in the wild they saw that how the input was showing different values when not held in hand. They did say the more humid your climate the worse this issue showed.

Well I agree with you about the "grounding" but that's what "they" called it and everyone around here now wants to argue all the time so I just went with it. Supposedly they fixed it by increasing the voltage.

Re: June 28th and still no OTA update ?

Ok my first impression, I have to press a little longer/harder, perhaps more than once on some things, input seems ever so slightly more lagged/sluggish than instant, as it "felt" to me prior to my update. So it would be safe to say that on my unit (it may be placebo effect) the screen/input sensitivity has been toned down a notch?

Especially around the bottom four menu buttons, seems it's active area has been reduced to closer around the actual "button" as the search and home aren't activating as they would (annoyingly so) when you put your hand near or close to them..

Same here I thought I had the newest unrevoked before this. Unrevoked even just tweeted to not update to the ota if you are rooted.
