Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

So its come to my(and my bosses) attention that the stock alarm is just made of fail. 3 nights Ive set my alarm and 3 mornings, it doesn't go off. Thankfully I have my N96 as a backup, but ummm my "superphone" shouldn't need a backup. Now I noticed this morning after I woke the phone up at 8, the flip clock was still at 7:30, it then immediately flipped to 8. Im assuming this is whats causing the problem. Anyone else have this issue? Know of a fix? Im sure there's other alarms in the Market, anyone have a good suggestion? Thank you

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

Am I the only one that still uses an actual alarm clock for an alarm clock? My old Touch Pro had the same issue, but I only ever used it when I was away from home. I've not tested it on my Evo yet, but I would assume it's something to do with the Sense UI (as it's the only thing in common between the Touch Pro and the Evo).

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

I have had this issue and assumed it was a process running in the background that I've killed. So I started rebooting the phone before I go to bed just to be on the safe side. Do you use any Task Manager apps? I'm learning to be a little more careful with them.

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

Ive never had an issue with the alarm clock.Goes off twice every morning for me,once at 610am and again at 7am just in case i were to wake up at 610am and turn the clock off instead of snooze.

Hasnt failed me one time..Maybe try a hard reset? Also the clock showing a different time upon wakeing happens on my phone too so i doubt thats the issue.

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

I had a similar problem...and it was the task mgr I had installed. I had not put the clock in the exceptions list. Same as zone23's reply above.

Like others have said, if you use a task manager, make an exception for the clock.

I learned it the hard way too.

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

Or just download Alarm Clock Plus. You still need to set it to Ignore if you use a task manager (I don't). This program is full of win and It even makes me do a math problem before it turns itself off. Lmbo.
