Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

works fine for me with no task killer, ive seen many threads around here and it seems that task killer is the culprit.

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

I use to have this problem with the Mogul & I decided to keep the device "woke" & just turn the display to it's lowest setting & after doing so, I never had a problem with the Mogul, Touch PRO, Touch PRO 2 & now the Evo again.

LOL, I gotten up late becaust of those same damn phones and regardless of which rom was on it, it would always happen randomly so I just blamed it on winmo but with the evo its definitely the task killer. Once I set it to ignore the clock then that was it, works perfectly.

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

Alarm clock has worked every day over the past 3 weeks for me. Ive heard of a lot of people having problems with their alarm clock that are using a task killer app, which is killing the alarm.

Your task killer is killing your alarm. Not the evo's fault. User error.

It's not HTC. Mine works fine as well as everyone else who doesn't use a task killer or makes an exception in the task killer list.

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

I'm thinking HTC HATES the task killer apps on the market. I bet 50% of the complaints on this board about crashes, freezes, reboot and bad alarms or crashing app are because of these task killers.

Someone coming to these boards before buying a phone might think the phone itself is very buggy, when the reality is that a lot of the problems (not all, I know) are user error from these task killers.

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

alarm is fine, i wish people would stop saying it's crap and made of fail when it's user error. and it still works with task killer as long as u put it in the white list. if u don't know how, u probably shouldn't be using the task killer in the first place.

anyway, anyone know of an alarm that's similar to galarm with the mazes and math quizzes??

Re: Stock clock/alarm = late for work(ie its borked)

Agree with everyone who say it's the task killer. I use Advanced Task Killer, and just went into Menu Settings Ignore list and put Clock in there and it works great.i use the old Loud Buzzer, and it is very loud and reliable.

Nope. I don't trust that I'll hear the phone so I use three different alarm clocks set to go off within two minutes of each other. They are in different locations around my room so that I actually have to get up three times before all alarms are off.

I still don't wake up.
