also did u guys see how they said they wont be upgrading the moment or the hero... that sucks i have the evo but the hero is less than a year old.

I mean those phones arent built for it, they too slow

my guess would be that they hope to replace non 4g phones w/4g and may not spend the time or energy needed to update the older phones and are instead focusing on this 4g thing

They're finalizing the software which means it's actually already being built or built and they're refining it. If it's already built you know someone at xda is going to get a leaked copy.

it is encouraging to see that sprint would say in the near future but let's break it down. WTF DOES NEAR FUTURE MEAN?

how long did it take to finally produce a phone that would compete against the Iphone? (The instinct was a faillll...) Just about 2-3 years! (Thank god HTC came thru tho) Don't expect froyo to be available till around or after September. And expect to be without frozen yogurt for pretty much the whole summer.
